It’s common knowledge that we are what we eat and our physical and mental health is directly connected with the foods we choose as part of our regular nutrition regimen. Moreover, when it comes to personal growth, healing, energy cleansing and dipping into your talents and gifts the golden rule is to keep your energy at high level of vibration and frequency.
While most of these practices have to do with mindset changes and energy cleansing through spiritual practices, you can amplify (or lessen for that matter) the result by eating right. In other words, if you eat nutrient-poor, unbalanced, processed foods, your energetic vibration will be drastically reduced. But, if you choose nutrient-dense, balanced, fresh, gorgeous, colourful, vibrant foods, it’s like a supercharge for your energetic field.
When your vibration is raised, you feel alive, awake, in tune with the universe, and people around you notice your glow. You find that you easily and effortlessly attract the things you most desire and the density evaporates.
First rule of thumb to remember is when you want to focus on cleansing/empowering specific chakra (energetic center), it’s useful to stick with foods of a corresponding color. I.e., eat more red foods for wrking on root chakra, more green foods to help heart chakra, or purple foods to work with the crown chakra. The biggest effect in my experience is reached when working with the lower chakras in this way.
Now let’s look at specific high vibrational foods I recommend.
Green Leafy Vegetables
Lettuces, kale, arugula, spinach, collard greens, chard, etc. – these guys are bursting with high vibration energy – you’re literally eating the energy of the sun. Get as much and as many varieties as you can.
Fresh Berries
All fresh fruits are fabulous and will boost your vibration, but berries are at the top of my list for a few reasons. They’re low in sugar which is great for people struggling with unbalanced blood sugar. They’re also super high in antioxidants which help boost your immune system and reduce inflammation. My go-to choices among berries are blueberries and raspberries, both work perfect for heart chakra healing and working with anxiety or pain.
Sprouts
You can sprout almost any seed, bean or grain. It’s easy to do and can be done right on your kitchen counter! Sprouts are super high in protein (up to 35% of a sprout is protein) and rich in enzymes which help your body do its best.
Fresh Herbs
This is a huge one! Not only do fresh herbs make our food taste fantastic which boosts your enjoyment and energetic vibration while you eat, but many of them have powerful healing properties. For example, cilantro is an excellent detoxifier, while rosemary contains lots of great antioxidants. Try different varieties and include them in your meals whenever possible. At this point I add herbs pretty much to every dish I make (apart from desserts maybe).
Spices
For thousands of years people have been using spices as a delicious way to raise the energetic vibration of food. Turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, garlic and cayenne all contain powerful healing properties and help with everything from digestion to blood sugar balance and even arthritis! (winking at turmeric here, haha).
Beans & Legumes
Beans and legumes are very high vibrational foods because they’re nutrient powerhouses. They contain lots of protein, carbohydrates and fiber as well as lots of B vitamins and even iron.
Nuts & Seeds
Raw, unsalted nuts and seeds also make the list of high vibration foods because not only are they a great source of protein and fiber, but they also contain healthy fats like omega 3s that your body (and especially your brain) need to function properly. I often recommend raw nuts and seeds to my clients as a great, healthy mid-day snack. Not to mention I pack such snacks for myself on every trip 🙂
Blue Green Algae
Sounds yummy? Or scary? Fear not. Blue green algae, like spirulina and chlorella, are among the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet which make them super high vibration. You can buy these dried at your health food store and add them to smoothies, or (if you can’t handle the taste) you can get them in tablet form and just take as directed on the label.
Fermented Foods
Every day we’re learning more and more about the importance of gut health to our overall well-being. Your gut (digestive system) is home to a whole ecosystem of bacteria. Some are “good” and help your body stay healthy and others are “bad” and – if allowed to overgrow – can contribute to many poor health conditions, including allergies, eczema, joint pain, fibromyalgia, depression and even cancer. Naturally fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi and kombucha are teeming with the “good” bacteria you want and can help to address imbalances in that delicate ecosystem.
Teas
I love tea and I think that its many natural healing and health-promoting properties make it a very high vibration food. Green and white teas are full of powerful anti-oxidants to support your immune system and fight inflammation. Herbal teas like chamomile, valerian, and passionflower are calming and can help you relax and sleep better.
In summary, the content of your meals and snack choices can either help you with your health and wellness, or slow your progress and results. The choice is yours. Now you’ve been warned.
