One Step At a Time

Happy Monday, everyone! I know that lately many of us been trying to make a decent living with all the chaos happening in the world, plan Christmas holidays, take care and be supportive for loved ones and stay healthy since it’s the main thing preventing you from falling victim to a pandemic.

Before I talk about personal growth and inner work, let’s take a moment to give appreciation and have a small celebration for yourself: how much effort you’ve put into … (whatever has been your passion, or love, or ugh… responsibility), how strong you’ve been for yourself and others around you, and how much you’ve learned from this experience! This is amazing on its own, which proves one important point: there are no coincidences, and life/Universe/God/higher power is teaching you lessons and helping you find your true self through life itself. Cheers to you! (It’s been a tough year, we know it).

One step at a time to self awareness - Don't forget to love yourself

Now, let’s see what really differentiates life happening TO you from life happening FOR you? One simple thing: your self awareness, or energy focus. As soon as you focus on smth/smb you give them your energy. Also, if you don’t conciously focus your energy, it’s all over the place. Then you lose any control of the situation (in this case control meaning stability, alignment, understanding, etc.).

Self awareness: Become more aware

In order to live a more fulfilling and abundant life one may start with a simple, but important step: becoming more aware. One way to start is by journaling or thinking through your day and its highlights (events, emotions, thoughts, aha moments). See why this day was important. What have you learned? Where could you have done better if you didn’t react in the moment? Why some event/feeling came to you? Is it an old emotional trauma, is this your trigger for getting frustrated/scared/angry, is this person not aligned with your energy and should not take so much of your time and effort, is there a pattern in your own behavior you can pinpoint to understand its nature? Do you turn to unhealthy habits to deal with stress/trigger? All these questions are a good way to start this exploration.

Be consistent

If you make it a regular practice every day you’ll notice more and more insights. Or a faster recognition of pattern/problem/trigger. You should also remember to recap the joyous and happy moments/events to really cherish and appreciate them.

And maybe these baby steps may not seem like much at first. As you get through these to become aware of them and transmute negative energy where possible, you’ll feel more free and empowered. You’ll have more energy and stamina to create, achieve, nourish.

Please don’t disregard baby steps in your self-growth, make them count! One at a time 🙂
